My Bio:
Annie Hessing has studied violin for seventeen years. She has experience playing violin in symphonic, orchestral, solo, chamber, worship, public and private settings.
Ms. Hessing has been instructed under Dr. Er-Gene Kahng, University of Arkansas Violin Faculty (2018-2019, 2021-2023) and Julia Sakharova, Arianna String Quartet and University of Missouri St. Louis Violin Faculty (2013-2018) amongst other instructors. She earned a minor in music from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
Since moving to Northwest Arkansas, Ms. Hessing has been the concertmaster and co- concertmaster of the University of Arkansas’s Symphony Orchestra (2022), accepted into the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra and has also played in the Arkansas Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Prior to this, as a St. Louis resident, Annie Hessing performed in Webster University’s Community Music School Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra (2016-2017, 2017-2018) and Young People’s Concert Orchestra (2015-2016). Ms. Hessing has been a part of the Saint Charles County Youth Orchestra’s Symphonic Orchestra (2013-2014, 2014-2015) and played with Webster University’s Community Music School String
Orchestra (2011-2012). Her St. Louis positions afforded her experience as co-concertmaster and first chair.
As a member of Webster University’s Community Music School, Ms. Hessing was awarded as a 2016-2017 Concerto Competition Winner and soloist, and 2018 Featured Soloist.
Within the University of Missouri St. Louis’s Young Artist Competition, Ms. Hessing was awarded as a top twelve 2017 High School Division Finalist.
Instructed under the Arianna String Quartet, Ms. Hessing attended the 2014, 2016, 2017, 2020 and 2021 Arianna Chamber Music Festival Music Camp where she trained and performed with international musicians.
Ms. Hessing is a certified Suzuki Unit 1, 2 and 3 violin teacher and currently teaches in Bentonville running her own violin studio. Annie Hessing began teaching violin in 2017 and continues with a passion to pass on her love for music and violin to her students. She has experience teaching both young students and adult students – helping people of all ages haves their dreams come to life!
